Jesus Christ was with God the Father before the world was created.He became human and lived among humanity as Jesus of Nazareth. He came to show us what God the Father is like. He lived a sinless life, showing us how to live; and He died upon a cross to pay for our sins. God raised Him from the dead. Jesus is the source of eternal life. Jesus wants to be the doorway to new life for you.In the Bible He was called the Lamb of God.[John 1:29The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, here is the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world.] In the Old Testament, sacrifices were made for the sins of the people. Jesus became the sacrifcial lamb offered for your sin. Jesus said I am the way the truth and the life: no man cometh to the Father, but by me. [ John 14;6] He is waiting for you now. Admit to God you are a sinner. Repent turning away from your sin. [Romans 3:23 For all have siined and fall short of the glory of God.] By faith recieve Jesus Christ as Gods Son and accept Jesus' gift of forgiveness from sin. He took the penatly for your sin by dying on the cross. [ John 3:16 For God so loved the world tha He gave His one and only begotten Son that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.] Confess your faith in Jesus Christ as Saviour and Lord. [1John 1:9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to for give us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteouness.] You may pray a prayer similar to this as you call on God to save you: ''Dear God, I know that you love me. I confess my sin and need of salvation. I turn away from my sin and pray my faith in Jesus as my Saviour, And Lord. In Jesus name I pray Amen. After you have recieved Jesus Christ into your life, tell a pastor or another Christian about your decision. Show others your faith in Christ by asking for baptism by immersion in your local church as a public expression of your faith.

Christianity today is under assault----and not just from secular -minded people who want all religious influences removed from public life. Surprisingly, even people who claim to be Christians reject the idea that Christ is the center of Christian faith. In trying to be politicaly correct they might contend , for example that a person does not need forgiveness of sin and a new birth to go to heaven. All thats required is a sincere belief that God exsists. Some people claim to know and worship God, but they see no need to believe in Jesus as Gods Son. Still others like to think of theselves as religious skeptics. They argue that if someone could prove beyond doubt Christianity's claims about Jesus then they would believe. You might be surprised these challenges to Christianity aren't new. Actually they've been around since the Holy Spirit inspired the writing of the New Testament. Many new Christians deive into their first Bible reading by opening the pages of Johns Gospel. there is a good reason why this is a favorite starting point: it was written so we might believe that "Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God and by believing...may have life in His name" [But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ the Son of God: and that believing ye might have life through His name. John 20:31]. Make no mistake , John wrote his Gospel to convince people that at the center of the Christian faith is Jesus Christ Himself.
